Our base school is located at 104 Merivale Lane.  Currently we have six classes on our Base School site.

Each class is organised around individual learning needs.  Learners have an individual education plan which is collaboratively created with the learner, whanau, therapy, and the class teaching team.  

Teachers work closely with therapy staff to provide programmes to meet learning needs in a range of areas including:

• curriculum

• communication

• sensory

• social skills

• emotional intelligence

• sport

• outdoor education

• daily living skills

• transition

• accessing community resources.

Base is the hub of Ferndale School, and the location of our school management, office and therapy teams.
